“To study the Buddha Way is to study the self.
To study the self is to forget the self.
To forget the self is to be actualized by myriad things.
To be actualized by myriad things is to realize 'no-barrier' between self and other."

Eihei Dogen, 13th Century

Welcome

BDG is a small, lay-led practice community in the Soto Zen (Japanese) tradition of Buddhism.

We  benefit from a direct affiliation with Reverend Dai-En Bennage of Mount Equity Zendo in PA, as well as Dharma connections to the Thich Nhat Hanh (Plum Village) and the Zen Peacemakers communities.

Our Practice

We practice sitting zazen,  walking meditation (kinhin), deep listening and speaking from the heart in the tradition of Zen Buddhism.
